Java Client Version Support
The Synergy Room was recently upgraded to version 5 of the iVocalize software. This version uses Java. If you encounter issues, please see below for possible solutions. If your issue is not listed here, please sent an email to Support@platinumsynergy.com Thank you!
1. Please make sure you have the latest Java version installed on your computer. To download and install Java, please click here: http://java.com/en/ Click on the Green “Free Java Download” button.
2. Please test your Java settings if you receive a “version” or other Java error. Here is a set up instructions for checking your Java Settings: http://www.ivocalize.com/version5/test/
3. Please disable all Pop-Up blocker software you currently have running on your computer. If your Pop-up Blocker allows it, please add the webcast website address to your “safe list” so that it never blocks pop ups from this website.
4. If you have Norton Anti Virus or MacAfee, you may need to temporarily disable the program or add this website address to your “Safe List” so that the webcast software can be properly installed.
5. If the room does not recognize your Audio Input Device, such as your Microphone or your Head Set, please try unplugging your device, restarting your computer, and then plug your device back in. Wait for Windows to “recognize” your added hardware device, and then log in to the webcast room.
6. Please upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx
7. If your Microphone Sound is choppy or broken, you will need to ask the room owner to log into their control panel and change the audio settings, under their Features menu, to a lower setting.
